The college offers sports facilities in various games. Students are supposed to actively participate in sports activities. Regular practice will make students eligible to get selected for various competitions. Students should contact the sports officer time to time and see notices on the notice boards to get information related to the schedule of practice.

It is compulsory for the students of B. Sc. I and II to opt for either of the two activities. Minimum 75% attendance in them is imperative.

(a) N.S.S. :-

The college has one unit for boys and one for girls. Each unit accommodates hundred volunteers. N.S.S. includes social service rendered in he fields of civil defense, slums, construction work in rural areas through manual work, adult education, fight against social evils, nursing, blood donation, first aid etc. It is obligatory on participants to work for 240 hours in two years so as to obtain the certificate.

(b) N.C.C. :-

It has following units :

  •  Infantry (53 Seats). Officer-Major P.S. Mundra;
  •  Armed(65 Seats) Officer lt. Sanjay Vyas;
  • Armed Offers wing-Officer- Captain Mrs. Preeti Chaturvedi and
  • Air wing (200 seats for Indore city).

 The cell offers guidelines to students about professions of their choice and interest and lends guidance to students preparing for Junior Research Fellowship and other competitive examinations.

 The college provides the facilities of bank ( a Branch of State Bank of Indore is Operating in the College Premises) and Govt. Dispensary to the Students, Professors and other Workers of the College.

University Relief Fund for handicapped students and students who meet with accidenthasbeenestablished by D.A.V.V.Indore. Regular college students are helped from the fund . Information regarding rules, eligibility, objectives, amount etc. applicable to both the schemes can be obtained from the College office or the Students Union convener in the university.

  1. S.C./ S.T./ O.B.C. students must after admission immedialely take information from scholarship branch and apply before 30 July.

  3. For all other scholarships and national loan scholarship, application forms must be obtained between 20 to 30 August and applied.

Bhati Scholarship :- Granted by ex-student of the college, settled in England late shri Asharam Bhati to meritorious post - Graduate class student ( If post - graduate class student is not available then to under - graduate class students) out of interest of Rs. 10,000/-



Deshpande Prize:-

Out of the interest received on National Saving certificate worth Rs. 10000, denoted to the college by the ' pride of the college', ex-principal and internationally renowned scientist Dr. Shankar Shridhar Deshpande, these is a provision for the following scholarships.

Late Prof. Shankar Keshav Abhyankar Prize:-

In the memory of the famous Prof. Of Mathematics in M.P. this prize is given to the student who secuses highest marks in Mathematics in B.Sc. III exem.

Late Smt. Sudesh Chhabra Memorial Prize:-

This prize is given in the memory of Prof. Of chemistry Late Smt. Sudesh Chabbra. Student getting highest marks in chemistry in B.Sc. III year and M.Sc. (Final) shall get cash prize of Rs. 250/-.

Shri Bateshwardayal Singhal Prize:-

This prize is granted by ex-student of the college " padam Shri" Dr. S.G. Singhal (former-vice-chancellro Kumaun University) in the memory of this father and ex-student of this college Late Shri Bateshwardayal Singhal. Under this.

Late Prof. P.C. Gangrade Memorial Prize:-

In the memory of former professor of this college Late P.C. Gangrade, a prize of Rs. 150/- is given by Gangrade family to the student securing highest marks in M.Sc. (final) Mathematics.

Smt. Sushila Dubey Memorial Prize:-

Out of the interest of Rs. 2000/- given by Dr. S.S. Dubey , ex- student and professor of this college and Principal in Rajasthan, the prize shall be given to a student of Holkar Science College who gets highest - marks in B.Sc. exam and takes admission in M.Sc. (pre.) chemistry.

Late Prof. O.P. Dubey Memorial Prize:-

Student who gets highest marks in merit-list of M.Sc. (Previous) botany shall be given a prize of Rs. 200/- in the memory of Prof. Of this college, Prof. O.P. Dubey by this family.
