• Sports :-

The college offers sports facilities in various games. Students are supposed to actively participate in sports activities. Regular practice will make students eligible to get selected for various competitions. Students should contact the sports officer time to time and see notices on the notice boards to get information related to the schedule of practice.

• N.S.S. / N.C.C. :-

It is compulsory for the students of B. Sc. I and II to opt for either of the two activities. Minimum 75% attendance in them is imperative.

(a) N.S.S. :-

The college has one unit for boys and one for girls. Each unit accommodates hundred volunteers. N.S.S. includes social service rendered in he fields of civil defense, slums, construction work in rural areas through manual work, adult education, fight against social evils, nursing, blood donation, first aid etc. It is obligatory on participants to work for 240 hours in two years so as to obtain the certificate.

(b) N.C.C. :-

It has following units :

•  Infantry (53 Seats). Officer-Major P.S. Mundra;
•  Armed(65 Seats) Officer lt. Sanjay Vyas;
• Armed Offers wing-Officer- Captain Mrs. Preeti Chaturvedi and
• Air wing (200 seats for Indore city).

• Career Guidance cell :-

 The cell offers guidelines to students about professions of their choice and interest and lends guidance to students preparing for Junior Research Fellowship and other competitive examinations.

• Bank and Dispensary :-

 The college provides the facilities of bank ( a Branch of State Bank of Indore is Operating in the College Premises) and Govt. Dispensary to the Students, Professors and other Workers of the College.

• Fund :-

University Relief Fund for handicapped students and students who meet with accidenthasbeenestablished by D.A.V.V.Indore. Regular college students are helped from the fund . Information regarding rules, eligibility, objectives, amount etc. applicable to both the schemes can be obtained from the College office or the Students Union convener in the university.

• Admission forms for hostel are available in the office of the hostel which should be filled and submitted in duplicate along with the admission forms meant for the college . 
• A student will be admitted in the hostel only after securing admission in college. Admission in hostel depends on academic merit, and excellent character certificate. The admission is given only for one academic session at a time. It is compulsory that at least one of the parents accompany their ward at the time of seeking admission in the hostel.
• After getting admission in the hostel the student is required to deposit the fees for the whole year with the Cashier in the college office . The date of admission in hostel does not affect the amount of the fees.

Note :-

[1] Fees for column 1 to 8 is to be deposited in the college office.

[2] Amount for column 9 to 11 is to be deposited in the Account no. EX.H2 of   Ext. Branch of State Bank of Indore.

[3] All Fees are subject to change from time to time.

• Only regular students of Holkar Science College are eligible for admission in the hostel. The admission to the hostel is completely subject to the discrimination of the concerned committee.
• Any friend, relative or acquaintance will not be permitted either to visit the hostel or to stay in the hostel rooms, without specific reason.
• Complete discipline must be maintained in the premises and other places. Well mannered and cordial conduct with other hostelers and workers must be observed. If found involved in ragging and in-disciplinary acts the student will be rusticated from hostel and college and legal action will be taken against him. Any objectionable events should be immediately reported to the warden.
• It is compulsory to deposit the fees and mess-charges in due time. Any breach will result in rustication from the hostel.
• The parents must keep in regular touch with the warden. They should also inform the warden about time amount which they regularly sent their wards to prevent any misuse of amount.
• It is compulsory for all the hostlers to join the clubmess. Amount of Rs. 2950/- must be deposited in the account No. EX-H2 in State Bank of Indore College Extention Branch, at the time of admission and its receipt must be attached with the admission form. The amount of the mess-bill must also be deposited in the same account. Other amount of Hostel fees must be deposited in the office of the college hostlers will share water and electricity charges on the Co-operative basis.
• It is prohibited to join coaching classes or tuition without the permission of the Principal.
• A hostler can not remain absent from the hostel without the prior permission of the warden.
• Safety of the supplied things, books and furniture is the responsibility of the hostler, for any loss or lose and damage Charges will be recovered from the hostler.
• In case of any illness, it should be immediately reported to the warden.
• The hostlers must stay in their rooms from 9 P.M. to 6 A.M.
• Smoking Alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited.
• It is essential to seek the permission of the warden, to deposit the outstanding fee and supplied things before a hostler discontinues the hostel facilities.
• 75% attendance in every subject in the college is compulsory for the hostler. In case of short attendance they shall be rusticated from the hostel .
• Admission in the hostel in the middle of the session is not possible.
• Admission in the hostel for one year does not guarantee admission for the next year.
• It is essential for the hostler to operate radio and T.V. in low volume.

Violation of the above mentioned rules will result in immediate rustication from the hostel.

In case of any inconvenience the hostler should contact the warden. The warden will help to make the hostlers comfortable, smooth and ideal co-operation of the hostlers is also expected.

1. S.C./ S.T./ O.B.C. students must after admission immedialely take information from scholarship branch and apply before 30 July.
2. Those students who are getting national scholarship must get it renewed by 30 July.
3. For all other scholarships and national loan scholarship, application forms must be obtained between 20 to 30 August and applied.

Special Note :- No student shall be eligible for more than one scholarship.

Bhati Scholarship :- Granted by ex-student of the college, settled in England late shri Asharam Bhati to meritorious post - Graduate class student ( If post - graduate class student is not available then to under - graduate class students) out of interest of Rs. 10,000/-

Deshpande Prize:-

Out of the interest received on National Saving certificate worth Rs. 10000, denoted to the college by the ' pride of the college', ex-principal and internationally renowned scientist Dr. Shankar Shridhar Deshpande, these is a provision for the following scholarships.

• Post - Graduate Prize :- A prize of Rs. 500/- per annum is to be awarded to a student of Holkar College, who gets highest total marks in theory in M.Sc. Chemistry previous and final examination.
• Graduate Prize :- A prize of Rs. 500/- to that student of Holkar Science College who secured highest total marks in chemistry (theory) exam of B.Sc. I,II & III.

Late Prof. Shankar Keshav Abhyankar Prize:-

In the memory of the famous Prof. Of Mathematics in M.P. this prize is given to the student who secuses highest marks in Mathematics in B.Sc. III exem.

Late Smt. Sudesh Chhabra Memorial Prize:-

This prize is given in the memory of Prof. Of chemistry Late Smt. Sudesh Chabbra. Student getting highest marks in chemistry in B.Sc. III year and M.Sc. (Final) shall get cash prize of Rs. 250/-.

Shri Bateshwardayal Singhal Prize:-

This prize is granted by ex-student of the college " padam Shri" Dr. S.G. Singhal (former-vice-chancellro Kumaun University) in the memory of this father and ex-student of this college Late Shri Bateshwardayal Singhal. Under this.

• A student who secuses highest marks in B.Sc. III examination and takes admission in M.Sc. (previous) Mathematics will be given Rs. 200/-
• These student who have taken admission in M.Sc. (previous ) mathematics and physics each shall be given Rs. 200/-.

Late Prof. P.C. Gangrade Memorial Prize:-

In the memory of former professor of this college Late P.C. Gangrade, a prize of Rs. 150/- is given by Gangrade family to the student securing highest marks in M.Sc. (final) Mathematics.

Smt. Sushila Dubey Memorial Prize:-

Out of the interest of Rs. 2000/- given by Dr. S.S. Dubey , ex- student and professor of this college and Principal in Rajasthan, the prize shall be given to a student of Holkar Science College who gets highest - marks in B.Sc. exam and takes admission in M.Sc. (pre.) chemistry.

Late Prof. O.P. Dubey Memorial Prize:-

Student who gets highest marks in merit-list of M.Sc. (Previous) botany shall be given a prize of Rs. 200/- in the memory of Prof. Of this college, Prof. O.P. Dubey by this family.

Dr. B.R. Jain Prize :-

Ex- Principal Dr. R. N. Jain in the memory of his late father Mr. B. R. Jain has begun two prize with the interest of Rs. 10,000/- .

• Prize will be given to the student who gets highest marks in Physics, Chemistry, Maths group. 
• To the best student who has cleared B.Sc. III or the student who gets highest marks in Maths, Physic, Chemistry group.

Prof. Gole Memorial Prize:-

Prof. Gole prize of Rs. 1000/- will be given to the student who gets highest marks in H.S.C. (Maths).

Sarwan Memorial Prize:-

• Late Mrs. Seetabai (Retired IV Th. class Employee of the College ) husband Mangtulal Ssarwan. In har memory his son Mr. Prakash Chandra Sarwan hes given RS. 5001/- With the interest of this money consolation. Prize will be given to the student who gets highest marks in B.Sc. I. st. year.
• Late Mr. Mangtulal Sarwan (Retired IV. Th. Class Employee of the College ). In his memory his son Mr. Prakash Chandra Sarwan has given Rs. 5001/- Talent prize will be given to the student who will get highest marks in the grand total of B.Sc. I, II, & III.

Late Prof. Daniel Robert Memorial Prize:-

In the memory of Late Prof. Daniel Robert of chemistry, his mother Mrs. Leelawat Robert has given Rs. 20000/- with the interest of this amount following prizes will be distributed :-

• 1/4 Th. amount of the interest will be given to the student who gets highest marks & gets first rank in the merit list in B. Sc.
• Remaining amount half will be given to the student who gets highest marks in M.Sc. (Chemistry all the branches).
• Remaining amount will be given to the student who gets first position in the merit list in M.Sc.

Mr. Shreedhar Govind Ghate Prize:-

A brilliant student of this College Mr. Shreedhar Govid Ghate his son Mr. Shyam Ghate has begun a prize of Rs. 5000/- with the interest of this amount prize will be given to the student who gets highest marks in the grand total of B. Sc. I, II, III.

St. Leela Public Charitable Trust, Indore Prize:-

With the interest of Rs. 5000/- given by the trust Half will be given to the student who gets highest master in zoology group & half who tops in Maths group.

Dr. S. S. Deshpande Memorial Prize:-

(With the interest of Rs. 6150/-).

• Prize will be given to the student who gets highest marks in B.Sc. & who wants to continue his studies.
• Prize will be given to the student who gets highest marks in M.Sc. (Chemistry)

Late Dr. K. R. Nikam Memorial Prize:-

His wife Mrs. Jyoti Nigam has given Rs. 5000/- With the interest of this money prize will be given to the student who gets highest marks in B.Sc. I st year in Zoology group Maths group.

Notice :-

• The forms of national scholarship will be sent at the home addresses of the students by M.P. Board of Secondary Education according to their merit list. These forms should be sent by the student s to the head of the Institution to Commissioner, Higher Education, M.P. satpura Bhawan, Bhopal.
• All the forms for scholarship should be sent to Higher Education through the college at the specific date.
• Graduate scholarship will be accepted by the college on the basis of allotment by Commissioner higher education.
• Leaving aside national scholarship, the forms for all the other scholarships will be available in the college.
• The declarations of dates for the submission of forms will be made from time to time in the college.
• Students who come under the category of S.C/ S.T. should apply for the scholarship at the time of admission.
