• ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION :-

B.Sc.(I year) :- 12 th standard(+2) from M.P. Secondary Board of Education, Bhopal or CBSE, Delhi or any other Equivalent examination passed.

B.Sc. (II year) :- Students who have passed B.Sc. (I year) examination from this college.

B.Sc.(III year) :- Students who have passed B.Sc. (II Year) examination from this college.

M.Sc. (I Semester) :- Bachelor's Degree in relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University of M.P. on the basis of order of merit.

M.Phil. (Zoology) :

For B.Sc. I/II & III year an applicant can opt a course mentioned in the course page.

Note :-

• Only those students are admitted in B.Sc. II & III who had opted for the qualifying examination.
• Third year Geology students must go for a study tour on self expenses. The college gives same assistance as per  Govt. Rules.
• If sufficient number of students are not available in a particular group then that group is terminated.

HONORS COURSES

As Per U.G.C. planning , Honors Courses are available in Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects.

The outline is as follows:-

Honors Courses start with second year of 3 year degree course. Students admitted in this courses have to take three optional subjects and foundation course but they must offer one additional paper out of honors courses. Those who pass in this honors paper will have to offer the same paper in the final year also. In the third year, they have to take only this honors subject and foundation course and not the two other optional subjects. If the students wish to change over from the honors courses to normal subject group, they can do so in the Second Year, but this change is not permitted in the Third Year. Those students who are admitted into Second Year on the basis of Honors Courses, are not permitted to leave the Honors Courses.

Students having passed in Honors Courses are given additional 10% weightage in P.G. level admission in the same subjects.

Eligibility

• Students having obtained 60% marks are only admitted in Honors Courses.
• 2. Admission to Honors Courses in on the basis of merit and not any kind of reservation.

As per M.P. Govt. Directives, reservation is permitted only in general subject groups

Note:- In the Fourth Semester of maths, Computer based practical test on numerical is compulsory ‘50‘marks are allotted for practical work. In lieu of the fifth paper dissertation is permitted on the basis of merit in limited numbers.

• Admission forms will be sold from a stipulated date by the college principal. 
• If seats are available, admission will be given up to 31 July by the principal and up to 14 August by the permission of the VICE.CHANCELLOR. 
• Admission means, remittance of all fees up to the stipulated date. 
• Admission is on the basis ‘First come First serve’ on merit. So high percentage late comers may be deprived of admission. Therefore students should be careful of the time factor. There is no reservation for high tech Subject like Computer Science, Biotechnology, Electronics, Micro-biology & Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
• Age limit- no student above 22 in the first year or above 27 in the P.G. classes will be admitted. Age will be calculated as on 1 July. SC, ST, OBC, Disabled and Women students will have relaxation of 3 more years.
• Reservation- (Excepting High Tech courses) M.P. Govt. Reservation policy is as following :-
  • Reservation for SC/ST is 15% and 18% respectively exchangeable between the two classes. OBC students will have 14% reserved seats. 
  • In every class(B.Sc.I, II, III) 3% of the total seats will be reserved for the physically handicapped and wards of Freedom Fighters Physically handicapped students will have to produce a medical certificate to that effect. Mentally retarded are not considered as physically handicapped. Only P.H. category will have 10% weightage of the marks obtained.
• Central school +2 pass students are considered at per with 10+2 M.P. Board students.
  • At Degree Level- The total of Theory and Practical marks in the qnalitying examination will be counted.
  • At P.G. Level- First Semested :- Grand total of B.Sc. I, II,& III year marks will be counted for only merit purpose. 50% or more marks holders will be considered for admission.
  • If some seats of the reserved category remain vacant they will be filled with general category students, on the basis of merit. 
  • If the number of reserved seats is less than 0.5%, there will be no Reservation. Reserved category students must have at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
• Weighttage for deciding the merit:- The concept(interpretation) of merit is based on the total marks obtained, which will be as follows, but not more than one kind of weightage will be allowed
  • N.C.C. / N.S.S. / SCOUTS -
    • At Degree Level :-  On the basis of NCC / NSS  ’A’ certificate = 2%.
    • At P.G. Level :-       On the basis of NCC / NSS  ’B’ certificate = 2%.

OR

• ‘C’ certificate holders of scouts at the third stage = 3%
  • State level (Directorate) NCC students who represented their group in competitions = 3%.
  • New Delhi-Republic Day Parade N.C.C./N.S.S. participants = 5%.
  • Honors course pass Govt. College students seeking admission in the same subject =10%.

Decision of the admission committee constituted by the principal will be final.

Special cases will be considered according to the Commissioner, Higher Education’s order No.1596/ CHE/DEPT. 1/94/ dated 08.06.1994.

• Students, whose result is withheld by the Board can be considered on merit basis within two weeks of the declaration of the results.
• Once admitted students if they leave college in the mid.. session or having failed in the Exam, will not be admitted as regular students.
• Bonafied residents of M.P. will be eligible for admission . This condition will not be applicable for the students whose parents/husband are state or central govt. employees posted in M.P. or wards of Nationalized Banks and Central Govt. Undertakings.
• The following students will not be admitted –
  • Under no circumstances, a student will be admitted in the same class, next year.
  • The students who used unfair means in the examination and so their case are under consideration (Till they have not passed their Examination).
  • The students against whom regions criminal immoral cases are in the court or under examination rules some cases have been decided against them by the relevant authority. The students found guilty of ragging.
  • The students who have created any kind of disturbance or the students that have beaten teachers or other students.
  • The students against whose admission the staff council has taken unanimous decision.
  • The foreign students who will not submit eligibility certificate of the relevennd university and the certificate of the competent medical officer regarding No. AIDS. For the admission of the foreign students prior permission of the MP Govt. is compulsory.

Cut of percentage will be declared on the notice board.

 

• Admission of B.Sc.(second year) B.Sc. third year and M.Sc. Third semester will be completed between 15 to 25 June.
• For other classes admission will be done after the declaration of the results. For B.Sc. The students will have to deposit the admission form in the college office duly filled and attaching the necessary certificates. The students who have obtained more than the cut-off percentage of marks will be given admission immediately. This process of admission will continue till all the seats are filled. So the students should come with fees and other necessary certificates. They will have to deposit the admission fees at the time of admission. Otherwise other students will be admitted. There is no last date for the admission. So the students who come late will not be admitted even if they have high percentage of marks in the qualifying examination. For M.Sc. Admission the students will have to deposit the duly filled application form along with necessary certificates in the concerned departments regular.
• The regular students of the previous session of the college who have passed their examination, will have to get their admission renewed without any gape this is for B.Sc. Second years B.Sc. Third year and for the second, third, and the fourth semester of M.Sc. For admission renewal the students will have to deposit the application form and the fees within ten days of the declaration of the examination results.
• For admission in postgraduate classes the students should deposit a duly filled form to the concerned head of the department.
• For the admission in the M.Sc. First semester the application forms will be accepted by the concerned head of the deportment before or on the last date declared by the institution. After the last date merit basis admission list of the reserved and unreserved lists and waiting lists will be displayed on the notice board of the department. Admitted students will have deposit the fees on or before the declared date, otherwise the students from the waiting list will be admitted. The students who want to apply for more than one subject, can submit the photocopy of the original application form in the concerned department on or before the last date for admission.
• If the MP higher education department issues some changes or New rules regarding changes sucurules or will come immediately in to force necessary
• List of the necessary documents attached to the application forms.
  • The original school/college leaving certificate. (it is compulsory to deposit the certificate at the time of depositing the fees.)
  • Two attested copies of marks list.
  • Certificate of date of birth. 
  • Domicile certificate. 
  • Character certificate.
  • Certificate of S.C., S.T., Disable, Descendants of Freedom Fighters or O.B.C.
  • Gap certificate (COURT AFFIDAVIT) 
  • Certificate of parents being the third or fourth class govt. Servant.
  • Certificates regarding sports, N.C.C. / N.S.S.
  • In service ‘No Objection Certificate’ of the employer.
  • Eligibility certificate – nomination letter and migration certificate of the university (if applicable) must be attached with the application forms.

Note- admission rules are changeable and binding for all according to government’s orders.

• Caution- 
  • If a student attaches fake certificates, hides facts or gives wrong In formation such admission will be cancelled. Admission given due to some official Newsweek will also be cancelled.
  • At the time of admission original copies of certificates and marks sheets must be produced.

RULES REGARDING ATTENDANCE

• 75% attendance is compulsory for appearing in college / university examination only in special cases like look health cases, N.S.S. N.C.C. camps, sports etc. The principal can give some relaxation. In no condition the attendance must be less than 60%. It the attendance will be than 60% such students of B.Sc. Part one, two, three and P.G. students of Maths will have to appear in the examination as or private candidates provided they have appeared in the internal test. In other P.G. subjects in case of shortage of attendance the students will not be allowed to appear in the examination. 
• Attendance will be counted on the based of the lectures given in the session. It will be the responsibility of the students to know their attendance.
• 20% attendance is compulsory for appearing as a private candidate. It the attendance is less than 20% such students will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
